Cleanseas operate grow out facilities in an open water culture environment at Arno Bay, Fitzgerald Bay and Boston Bay – a spread of water along the reach of the Spencer Gulf, providing a unique advantage in being able to maximise the quality of the farming operations, whilst minimising environmental impact.

Port Lincoln has the largest Southern Bluefin Tuna farming operations in the world, is home to Cleanseas and is our central hub of fish farming operations.

Cleanseas own and operate a state-of-the-art hatchery facility at Arno Bay – 120km north of Port Lincoln. Here, the Cleanseas team is undertaking the world’s first propagation of Southern Bluefin Tuna and has been successfully breeding commerial quantities of Yellowtail Kingfish and Mulloway since 2002.

Cleanseas also operate a second hatchery facility at Port Augusta on the northern-most reaches of the Spencer Gulf.

“Sustainability is not only about the environment but the fish and the people in that environment also. At Cleanseas we are proud of our commitment to all three and to the future generations of seafood catchers, growers and consumers.” Hagen Stehr Founding Director, Cleanseas.
